What Can You Do With A Cup Of Water?

A cup of water doesn't sound like much, only 8 ounces. That's not enough to make a difference, right? Consider these things you can do with just a cup of water:
Add one-fourth cup sugar to one cup water and heat until the sugar has dissolved. You have made hummingbird nectar. If your feeder is small, store what's left in the fridge.
Place a cup of water in a microwave that needs to be cleaned. Nuke it for about a minute and your microwave can be wiped clean with only a paper towel.
To help bread dough rise quickly, set your bowl of dough in an unheated oven (or microwave) and set a cup of hot water on the rack next to the dough. It is enough to speed up the process.
A washing machine has been developed that uses only a cup of water to clean a load of clothes. It was developed at the University of Leeds and could be on the market soon.
Maybe a small amount of water, a relatively free resource, does make a difference.
How great would it be if we used our "cup of water" to make a difference in someone's life? If you are a follower of Jesus, you, no doubt, know the significance of water throughout the Bible. It literally and symbolically covers everything from giving a drink to someone to eternal life. Even if you don't believe the Bible you have to agree with the following statements: Water is needed for and supports life. Water gives relief and refreshment. Water cleans.
So, what is your cup of water and how can it do the most good? It doesn't have to be much - as you can see, a little water can do a big thing. Looking at my resources, I have time, money and talents; maybe not much, but I have them. What is important is what I do with them. This time of year, I am reminded even more of those around me who have needs. I think it is time I did something about it. Got water?

I thought you were going to do a cup of water in His name - and here I learn an easy way to FIX my microwave! Neat ideas. Thanks, MarijoHa- Marijo, actually, I wanted to take it totally in that direction but when I looked at the Scriptures and realized what would be involved in a word study...well...let's just say you or Teresa can pick it up from there! I'm glad you have an easy way to clean your microwave now! Thanks for reading and commenting.
